Moncler is an Italian apparel and lifestyle company, most known for its luxury down jackets and sportswear. Moncler was originally a French brand, but was acquired by an Italian entrepreneur in 2003. The brand was subsequently listed in Milan in 2013.
A representative for Kering had no comment. Ruffini downplayed the reports, saying in a statement that "he maintains contacts and interacts with investors and other sector participants, including the Kering group, in order to explore strategic potential opportunities to further promote the successful development of Moncler." But at the moment, "there is not any concrete hypothesis under consideration," he said.
I bought the company in 2003 and at the beginning, it was really something different but I immediately realised that the culture was already very strong and really interesting. Elements of it had to change, but I wanted to respect the DNA while improving the perception of the brand. From 2005 to 2009, we did a lot of things and the company culture evolved 100 percent. We always respected the roots, always Moncler Jackets respected the DNA. But that phase was totally different to the previous five years.
Almost A Perfect Day, Wurm's other contribution, is a trio of photographs wherein models wear current season Moncler 1952 in unconventional ways. Unconventional shapes - including a besandaled egg and Dali - like figure - result.
Moncler chairman www.monclersoutlets.com and CEO Remo Ruffini commented: "The world is facing ever more urgent social and environmental challenges. The pandemic is a reminder that we can, we must, always go beyond what we have already achieved if we are to make our future better. To rise to these great challenges, as individuals, as organizations and as companies, we must mobilize extraordinary energies."
