Fresh off of two straight off days, the Atlanta Braves will begin a grueling stretch against the two best teams in the National League in the San Francisco Giants and the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Braves will begin a three-game series against the NL West leading Giants Friday at Truist Park before heading out west for seven games which will include three against the Dodgers and a four-game series in Colorado. He had been out for about a month while recovering from a hamstring strain. Giants catcher Buster Posey sat out his second straight game Thursday night due to discomfort in his left knee. They also placed first baseman Brandon Belt on the bereavement list and Donovan Solano on the injured list with no stated reason which usually means it is Covid related Freddie Freeman Jersey. Belt is expected to rejoin the team in Atlanta Saturday and return to action on Sunday. Reds reliever Tejay Antone is scheduled to undergo Tommy John surgery Friday for the second time in his young career. Antone had missed the past few months due to a forearm strain but was activated from the injured list Tuesday. However, he lasted just five pitches in his first appearance. The Chicago White Sox activated Carlos Rodon from the injured list Thursday.
